Around 5:50 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, police were called to the 11000 block of Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles after a man—later identified as Lil Nas X—was seen walking nearly nude, wearing only underwear and cowboy boots. When officers arrived, he allegedly charged at them, leading to his arrest on a misdemeanor battery on a peace officer charge. He was booked into Los Angeles County jail at approximately 11:22 a.m. local time.
Hospitalization & suspected overdose: Following the incident, he was taken to a hospital amid concerns of a possible overdose. After treatment, he was transported to Valley Jail in Van Nuys.
Behavior captured on video: TMZ published footage showing him walking down Ventura Boulevard at around 4 a.m., clad only in white underwear and cowboy boots. In the video, he appears erratic—dancing, asking the person filming to come to a party, and at one point placing an orange traffic cone on his head.
